Kevin Dunn, who played the role Ron Witwicky in Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, is currently in negotiations to reprise his role in Transformers 3, reports the Hollywood Reporter. THR mistakenly cites Mr. Dunn as having played the role of his son Sam Witwicky, portrayed by Shia LaBeouf. Mr. Dunn is slated to appear in Tony Scott's Unstoppable.

Japanese Transformers fans don't need to feel left out. TakaraTomy has updated their official Transformers product site with the Hasbro produced N.E.S.T. Hasbro has uploaded the third episode of their web series Cyber Missions to their video website Monkeybar TV. The online video series is a tie-in to the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen toyline. In this episode, Ratchet and Lockdown face-off against each other. View the episode on Monekybar TV.
Optimus Prime and Bumblebee for Transformers 3 will be receiving some updates here and there, says the team over at Industrial Light and Magic. Speaking with SciFi Wire, Scott Benza, animation supervisor says that Bumblebee has matured a bit since we last saw him, so some "subtle changes to his physique" will be made that make him "look more mature." Meanwhile, Scott Farrar, the visual effects supervisor, says that Optimus Prime's updates will be more easter egg-like and mainly for the fans. Read more.
Just in, MTV is reporting on exclusive news for the Transformers 3 installment from Hasbro's CEO Brian Goldner who is offering some VERY interesting insights about what Micheal Bay has planned for Part Three. The first bits of news are both bad and good: "Bay is planning to put returning stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox... The new sequel will focus more on characters and the core mythology from the Autobots and Decepticons' history."

The video give us an overview of what all went into the sound production for ROTF that has been nominated for a 2009 Oscar for Best Sound Mixing in a movie. Ray Park is "expected" to have a lead role in Transformers 3, according to Left Lane News. A recent article on the website links Mr. Park to the film while spotlighting his upcoming film "Jinn," where Mr. Park has been cast as a lead role. The website claims that details remain unknown. A video interview with Mr. Park is also available on the website, but it does not delve into his future projects.
Thanks to GenZhao, we have new images of the Voyager Night Ops Ratchet figure. The figure is a repaint of the same Ratchet mold from 2007's Transformers. As revealed during Toy Fair 2010, the figure will be part of the Hunt for Decepticons promotional campaign, which will begin in the Fall. In the promotion, specially marked packages will include a code which you will be able to use to play game on Transformers.com.

Michael Bay has said that new characters and twists will be packed into the third entry of the Transformers live action series during his appearance on Starz' In the House. On his appearance on the show, Transformers 3 was a main topic of discussion, MTV reports, and he says that things will change for the third installment: "You can't just rehash the old," he explained. "We're adding a lot of new elements. We're adding new characters. We're adding a lot of twists." Mr. Bay also talked about why he decided to do Transformers 3 in 2011 and not after his small movie, as well as 3D.

Nelson, the administrator of Michael Bay's official website Shoot For the Edit has announced that Transformers 3 will be filming in Moscow, Russia, and Chicago, Illinois. According to him, Mr. Bay will be filming big action sequences at both locations. Mr. Bay will be matching the amount of money made from the sales of the DVD and Blu-ray and donate it to Make A Wish Foundation.
